With globalization and rapid rise in technology, new career options in writing have been created for various purposes to meet the expectations of the customers and for making their business/organization a popular one.
Persons interested in writing, in recent times, have numerous options to choose from. While majority of people dismiss writing as a mere hobby, for some it has been a career path worth taken to both fulfill their dreams of becoming a writer as well rake in millions of dollars.

The next group will be the Business writers who are well-versed in their field and their articles are usually published in the commercial magazines, newspapers catering for high-profile clients. Usually, they consist of questions/queries asked by the anonymous reader and the columnist responds in a positive attitude. The columnist may also be a pseudonym or a complete team who is in charge of the questions/query. From advice topics on general issues, the questions have widened to include, in recent times, even personal problem (marital sex).
Critical opinion on a subject/topic is becoming popular and usually opinion is given/written by persons/individuals who are famous in a specific topic/domain. The opinion or assessments can be in different fields such as music, literature, theatre, fashion or food etc. Judgments given can be either neutral or positive/negative, or they can be a combination of both.
Since the day Movies became prominent in society, gossips columns have become a rage. Gossip column can appear either in a newspaper/magazine. The content in gossip columns will be written in light, informal style where the columnist makes his/her opinion regarding celebrities/public figures personal lives or conduct. The content will be usually on arrests/marital discord/marriage/pregnancy/affairs/romantic liaison and they can be based on factual material mixed with rumors.
